Start with one guided study day, build field experience through three observed assessments and demonstrate your knowledge in a final competency test. No degree, A-levels or previous fire-sector role required.

A practical route in
A new skill without going back to university.
Anyone aged 18 or over can apply. You can study while employed, complete observations around agreed dates and, once assessed for a defined scope, take suitable work part time, at weekends or alongside another career. Successful completion does not create unrestricted independent-assessor status: work allocation depends on competence, supervision needs, location and client demand.
Attend three suitable live assessments and record what you see under an experienced assessor.
